James Nitties Pre Qualifies for US Open

Newcastle Golf Club Member, James Nitties has found the hardest way to qualify for the US Open.

Playing in Columbus Ohio, James was part of the final qualifying field of 120 players. The prize at the end of 36 holes was 17 spots in the US Open.

James tied for the final qualifying spot with 7 other players. He proceeded to birdie the first 2 playoff holes and win the final spot in the tournament.

All our members will be watching with interest and hope James can continue his fine form in the Open this week at Bethpage Black Course…
